In this installation guide for the Roosevelt Flagpole by Stand Flagpoles, we'll take you through the process of setting up your flagpole in concrete. Here are the key steps:

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

You'll need the Roosevelt Flagpole, a ground sleeve with a 3-inch interior diameter, a standard post-digging shovel, a regular shovel, a premium 4x6 flag, approximately four cubic feet of concrete, trowels for smoothing concrete, and your halyard and finial ball.


Step 2: Dig Your Hole

You have two options for hole size: a 31.5-inch diameter by 18-inch deep hole or a 10 to 12-inch diameter by four-foot deep hole. Dig according to your preference.

Step 3: Mix and Pour Concrete

Mix concrete with water and pour it into the hole around the ground sleeve. Use duct tape to seal the bottom of the sleeve to prevent concrete from entering. Make sure the ground sleeve is level.


Step 4: Smooth the Concrete

Smooth out the poured concrete using trowels to ensure a level surface.

Step 5: Assemble the Flagpole

Assemble the flagpole by attaching the cleat and halyard using a Phillips head screwdriver. Secure the finial ball on top, optionally adding a nut for extra security.


Step 6: Thread the Halyard

Thread one end of the halyard through the pulley from back to front. Tie the two ends of the halyard together using a secure knot, like an overhand knot or figure-eight knot for added safety.


Step 7: Attach the Flag

Attach your 4x6 flag to the halyard using carabiners. Ensure the grommet aligns with the knot, and make sure the carabiners are securely closed.


Step 8: Raise the Flag

Finally, raise your flag to the desired height on the flagpole.


With these steps, you'll have your Roosevelt Flagpole securely installed and proudly flying your flag. Enjoy your new flagpole!
